A note from a friend.

This note was left in my guestbook for all to read. I've copied it here for all to see. "Hi Peg, My family has been praying for Mike. I am glad he is doing better (HI Mike!) Hi Cher, I have a lot of respect for you girl!!!!You have been through a lot. Happy Birthday Grace--I love you! I remember when I was little and you and your husband (Hi ED) treated me like one of yours. I'll never forget it. I love your family Peg. It's one of a kind.!!!! Just wanted to express that. Peggi my friend---I am so jealous of you---go girl!!!! I love you the most. CAT " Hi Cathy, its good to hear from you. Thank you so much for your prayers and kind words. I'm sure that everyone will enjoy reading this note from you. Hey! Just had a thought from the past! Does everyone know Cathy is afraid of worms? Cath, are you still?

In Memory

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!””Gone where?”Gone from my sight.
That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: ‘Here she comes!”
And that is dying.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all uphill. When funds are low and the debts are high. And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest, if you must, but don't you quit Life is queer with its twists and turns. As everyone of us sometimes learns. And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out: Don't give up though the pace seems slow- you may succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned inside out- The silver tint of the clouds of doubt. And you never can tell how close you are.
