DENTIST YUCK

A day off and have a darn old dentist appointment. Thankfully after this though I should not have to go back for 6 months. Am still having trouble with my neck from the accident in November though, and am thinking I may end up back in at the doctor's. Yesterday I ended up taking both one of the muscle relaxers and the naprosyn. Not real happy about that either. After the dentist today I am stopping over at Northwest to pick up a donation for the relay. Yippee! they had called me yesterday that they won't sell the sun and moon cards, but they will donate a clock for the gift basket and the manager there is making a personal donation! I thought that was wonderful!

In Memory

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!””Gone where?”Gone from my sight.
That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: ‘Here she comes!”
And that is dying.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all uphill. When funds are low and the debts are high. And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest, if you must, but don't you quit Life is queer with its twists and turns. As everyone of us sometimes learns.
