Bake sale and raffle tickets

I've been getting things together tonight for the fund raiser tomorrow. Got home from work around 8:45 and have been busy ever since. Wanted to make sure that I had everything ready for tomorrow, as much as possible anyway. So far we have collected $81 for the raffle tickets and $5.00 for the bake sale. Marcy made cupcakes today and we bought and ate a few at work. They were great and I know tomorrow will pretty much be a junk food day. Betty is making pecan tassies among other items, Ann did brownies and some little loafs of bread of some type. We have Marcy's chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting and John made us no bake cookies. No exericse more than likely this day and will have to make up for this later in the week. Sure sounds yummy though.

In Memory

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!””Gone where?”Gone from my sight.
That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: ‘Here she comes!”

Don't Quit
