Open House

Open House is coming quick and I will be glad when it is over with. We have got about 2 weeks to go and the pressure of scheduling these appointments is getting intense. We have done everything that has been asked so I am just figuring what happens, happens at this point. Most of the invitations are out, all 3000 of them. I am still calling former members and will continue to do that. We have three appointments scheduled so far.

Back to Basics incentive is starting Tuesday at the club. Relaxation Room is in pretty good shape.

I'm on a three day weekend and it feels wonderful. Haven't had one of those in years, maybe not ever.

In Memory

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!””Gone where?”Gone from my sight.
That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: ‘Here she comes!”
And that is dying.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all uphill. When funds are low and the debts are high. And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
